Itinerary
DAY 01: Kathmandu to Paro arrival , drive to Thimpu
You will be make a flight from Kathmandu International airport welcomed at the only International Airport of Bhutan Paro Airport, then we will clear customs and immigration. Then you will meet our tour guide and driver at the terminal and then drive to the Thimphu (Capital city of Bhutan) and then transfer to the Hotel. After you check in to the hotel then you will have a first taste of the Bhutanese cuisine. We will have our first visit to Buddha point, atop a hill in Thimphu, the capital and largest city of Bhutan is a massive, golden Buddha sitting atop a gilded meditation hall and the Memorial Chorten which is located at the heart of the Thimphu City. If we have more time then we will visit the city area. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 02: THIMPHU – PUNAKHA
Today after having our breakfast we will visit for the sightseeing tour around Traditional School of arts and crafts usually known to be the “school of painting”- that offers lessons in Bhutan's 13 traditional arts. Then we will visit the Tashicho Dzong which is Buddhist Monastery an impressively large structure, surrounded by well-kept lawns and beautiful gardens. After then we will visit the nearby mini-zoo where we will incorporate different varieties of animals and birds then we will have a drive to Punakha. Punakha Dzong in western Bhutan it’s often considered the most beautiful Dzong, it is also the most important Dzong in Bhutanese history. Probably most of the treasures of national treasures are kept inside this Dzong Temple. After then we will visit Chime Lhakhang (Lhakhang means monastery or temple in the Bhutanese language so you will hear and see a lot of Lhakhang’s here in Bhutan). Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 03: PUNAKHA - WANGDUE– PARO
Today after having our breakfast we will be visiting Punakha Valley, one of Bhutan’s most scenic destinations, is the perfect place to awaken the nature lover in you. Take in the mind-blowing perspectives on the Himalayas, tune in to the hints of the Mo Chhu and Po Chhu rivers that slice through the valley, or absorb the quiet excellence of this dazzling valley. After this, we will drive back to Thimphu via Douchula Pass and continue our drive to Paro. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 04: PARO
Today is our Hiking day after having our early breakfast we will be hiking to Tiger nest. Tiger nest is the major attraction for any of the visitors traveling in Bhutan. The Tiger’s Nest Monastery, also known as Paro Taktsang, this temple is one of the holiest sites in the kingdom and clings impossibly to a sheer cliff face 900 meters above the Paro Valley. Taktsang Lhakhang is located approximately 10 km north of Paro city at an altitude of 3.120 m. To arrive at the temple visitors must trek for around 4 hours through beautiful, shady pine forests. After finishing our visit to Tiger Nest, we will hike to Kyichu Lhakhang (Kyichu Lhakhang (also called Lho Kyichu and Kyichu) is a majestic seventh-century temple revered as one of the most magnificent sites of worship in Bhutan). DAY 05: Paro departure and Kathmandu arrival.
Today is our Hiking day after having our early breakfast we will be hiking to Tiger nest. Tiger nest is the major attraction for any of the visitors traveling in Bhutan. The Tiger’s Nest Monastery, also known as Paro Taktsang, this temple is one of the holiest sites in the kingdom and clings impossibly to a sheer cliff face 900 meters above the Paro Valley. Taktsang Lhakhang is located approximately 10 km north of Paro city at an altitude of 3.120 m.
